We are excited to announce that effective April 4th, Kikukawa Acupuncture Clinic will be moving from the current Mckenzie Ave. location to 6884 Central Saanich Road. This was an unexpected but a necessary move, as the current clinic building will be demolished for redevelopment and will no longer be available.

The new clinic will be a home based clinic with a dedicated treatment room. There will be free parking on site, and we will be able to offer more flexible hours as well. The clinic will continue to follow all public health recommendations by BC government.

We value you as a patient and look forward to seeing you at our new location. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.

Sincerely,

Masanobu Kikukawa

Preventing coronavirusCanadians should continue to think ahead about the actions that they can take to stay healthy and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Canada. This includes staying at home as much as possible and being prepared in case you or a family member becomes ill. Everyone should be practising physical (social) distancing. Even if you do not have symptoms of COVID-19, you could become infected by others.
As we continue to see transmission of the virus within different communities, we know that everyone must take precautions, even those who have not travelled outside of Canada.
In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within communities and across the country, all Canadians are advised to:
  • stay at home unless you have to go to work
    • talk to your employer about working at home if possible
  • avoid all non-essential trips in your community
  • do not gather in groups
  • limit contact with people at higher risk, such as older adults and those in poor health
  • go outside to exercise but stay close to home
  • if you leave your home, always keep a distance of at least 2 arms lengths (approximately 2 metres) from others
    • household contacts (people you live with) do not need to distance from each other unless they are sick or have travelled in the last 14 days

My recent trip to Puerto Rico and Chile

Some of you may have noticed that the clinic has been closed for the last few weeks. That is because I have been away on my first trip to Central and South America.

I received an invitation from a member of IOSKU (International Okinawa Shorinryu Karate Union)  in Puerto Rico and Chile to hold a seminar, and decided to take a 2 week trip to the South.
I met many wonderful people, and enjoyed the great food and beautiful weather. It felt great to be able to share the knowledge and skills with the teachers and students in Pueto Rico and Chile. I also received a letter of thanks from the Mayor!

Now back to acupuncture and shiatsu massage work! Business open as usual!
